Easter Coffee Afternoon Tuesday 30th March in the school hall from 3.30pm

The Easter Coffee Afternoon will be held on Tuesday 30th March in the School Hall from 3.30pm. Once again there will be the very popular Easter egg raffle, Easter crafts and refreshments as well as the egg decorating competition. New for this year will be an Easter treasure hunt and several new games for all ages. For those with pre-school children, we’ll be offering a small play area with toys and colouring. Please note that all children remain the responsibility of their parent/carer. We need donations of chocolate Easter eggs please for the raffle and these can be given to any member of the FOSS committee or taken into school. Any offers of small Easter cakes to sell would be gratefully received too. We rely on volunteers to help make the FOSS events successful and safe so please let one of the committee members know if you’re able to help out, thank you.

Egg Decorating Competitions: All children are invited to decorate a hard boiled egg and bring it into school on the morning of Tuesday 30th March (not before please!). The eggs will be on display at the coffee afternoon. Chocolately prizes on offer! Do make sure you label entries with the child’s name and year group. If you prefer, children can decorate the attached egg outline instead (or as well!) please also return these to school on the morning of 30th March for display and judging. To raise funds for our school this Easter, we’ve teamed up with Thorntons and will be selling personalised Thorntons Easter Eggs for just 3.50 each. For every egg sold, 1 will be donated to FOSS. There are five delicious eggs to choose from, all of which can be iced with a name or short message for free. The eggs contain no artificial colours or flavours and with Milk, White, Dark and even Butterfly and Sporty eggs on offer, you’re sure to be spoilt for choice. Simply complete the order form below and send back with cash (or cheque payable to FOSS) by Tuesday 23rd March. Eggs can be collected at the coffee afternoon. The 3rd Annual FOSS Fun Run will be held on Saturday 10th October on the school field.

The run will start promptly at 2pm so don’t be late or it will be all over! Come in fancy dress if you like! Refreshments will provided by FOSS, donations of cakes will be gratefully received. There will also be a brief opening ceremony for the new “tyre” play area, funded by FOSS

Tuesday 15th September from 3pm in the school hall

There will be refreshments, crafts and a raffle. Donations of cakes and or raffle prizes will be greatfully received on the day.

Friday 17th July from 3.30pm – 5.00pm at school

Entertainment and refreshments will be available to celebrate the end of a great year.

On 15th July there will be a “family Fun Challenge” following the sports day races.

Y6 are organising the “Family Fun Challenge” and Foss will be selling refreshments following the Sports Day races.

As usual there will be the Easter Egg raffle and the Egg Decorating Competition which was so successful last year. Some of the displays last year were eggstraordinary!!! We will need some helpers on the day, but more details to follow nearer the time.

A Family Quiz Night will be held on Friday 6th March at 7pm

Our Quiz Master returns for another family friendly brain teaser on Friday 6th March at 7pm. There will be nibbles available, but teams can bring their own food/drink if preferred. To enter, please send £5 per family group (2 adults plus children) in a sealed envelope marked ‘Quiz Night’ to either the school office or any of the FOSS committee. Teams can be made up of several families, but note a maximum of 8 in any team.
